Greenbelt, MD...The residential component of the new Woodland Park Crossing Town Center in Herndon, Virginia is now under development through a joint venture of The Bozzuto Group and the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS).
The Woodland Park Crossing apartment community will encompass 204 apartment residences in elevator-served buildings. Situated both above and adjacent to the Town Center’s collection of retailers, the apartment homes will feature one, two and three bedroom plans, some with lofts and dens. Homes will range in size from approximately 715 square feet to 1,215 square feet.
Planned amenities include an inviting, landscaped courtyard with a pool; a fitness center; a business center with wireless internet access; as well as structured parking.
The integrated nature of the apartment design promotes community interaction and residents will enjoy a pedestrian-friendly environment with inviting shops, services, restaurants, and public spaces. In all, the Town Center will offer 135,000 square feet of retail, including a Harris Teeter grocery store and a Starbucks. JBG/Rosenfeld Retail is the developer for the center’s retail component.
Bozzuto Construction Company is the contractor for the apartments at Woodland Park Crossing; the residential community will be managed by Bozzuto Management Company. The apartments are expected to begin delivery in the Fall of 2008.
Located between Dulles International Airport and Reston Town Center, Woodland Park Crossing Town Center is situated just off the Dulles Toll Road at Sunrise Valley Drive and Corporate Park Drive. In addition to its proximity to the Toll Road, the community offers convenient access to Fairfax County Parkway, Route 28, Route 7, and Interstate 495. It is also located less than one-half mile from the future “Herndon-Monroe” Metro stop, a planned component of the Dulles Metrorail project.
