Greenbelt, MD...Dan Murphy has been named Chief Financial Officer of The Bozzuto Group companies. The announcement was made by The Bozzuto Group’s chairman and CEO, Thomas S. Bozzuto.
As CFO of the diversified real estate organization, which is active in apartment development, management, construction, homebuilding, apartment acquisitions, land development, and landscaping, Dan will direct the financial and accounting operations. In addition, he will oversee the human resources and technology groups, and participate in the underwriting of projects and in the structuring of investments. Named a Partner of The Bozzuto Group companies in 2006, Dan served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer immediately prior to his promotion.
“Dan is extraordinarily talented and an invaluable asset to our companies,” said Thomas S. Bozzuto. “We are confident that he will continue to excel as he takes on the responsibilities of this key position.”
Dan joined The Bozzuto Group as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer in 2003. He was previously a partner at Arthur Andersen LLP, and was also a partner at Ernst & Young LLP. A graduate of James Madison University, Dan has a bachelor of administration degree in accounting and is also a certified accountant.
