The Bozzuto Group offers paid internships with most of its companies and subsidiaries to qualified college students. Typically offered in the summer, these programs enable students to experience work life in the real estate development, homebuilding, construction, management and landscaping fields. Outstanding interns may rejoin the company after graduation for a rewarding and lucrative career path.
Some highlights of the most recent internship programs:
Bozzuto Construction Company – Prospective interns from area colleges and universities are chosen for this summer internship experience. This 10-12 week program includes time in our Preconstruction, Construction Operations, and Field Operations divisions, allowing the students to gain on the job training & experience in a variety of construction disciplines. This program was designed to assist the rising Junior or Senior to gain as much exposure as possible in these areas, so that they may be able to narrow their focus in their last years of school and upon graduation. Numerous social opportunities are also offered; past events have included a Baltimore Orioles game, a crab feast, and an outing to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.
Bozzuto Management Company –Each year, 10-12 students from universities & colleges are hired to “learn the ropes” of the Property Management industry. The interns gain experience in all aspects of the industry, including marketing, sales, customer service, and business administration. They also participate in the company’s standard employee training program, including a three-day orientation and sales classroom training. This is a great “on the job” experience, and the program is open to students from nearly every major. In the past, we have had outstanding participation from students majoring in Hospitality, Property Management/Real Estate, Marketing, PR, and General Business.
Bozzuto Landscaping Company – Several interns are welcomed each summer for a three-month program that includes exposure to all aspects of the commercial landscaping industry. The interns each work with a mentor to ensure the best possible learning experience, and over the course of the program spend time with mechanics, estimators, designers, accountants, enhancement managers, company officers and others. At the end of the program, the interns participate in a special appreciation luncheon where their insight and feedback are used to improve the program for the following year.
