Horace M. Lewis, Jr., MS, AINS, ARM

With over 37 years of experience in the insurance industry, Horace brings a deep and well-rounded perspective shaped by his work across both the brokerage and agency sectors, as well as the insurance carrier sector. He has worked extensively with a wide range of insurance programs, including property and casualty, management liability, bonds, specialty lines, and surety.

Horace has held multiple leadership and client-focused roles, including team lead and property and casualty manager within commercial lines brokerage departments, as well as underwriting manager at an insurance carrier. His extensive technical knowledge of insurance contracts and excellent communication skills equip him with the insight and versatility to meet the complex needs of diverse clients.

Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, Horace is passionate about educating clients—not only about their current insurance coverages and potential gaps, but also about how the insurance process works. He has successfully managed accounts ranging from small to large across various industries, including real estate, construction, retail, non-profits, federal contractors, and technology.

Horace holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance from Howard University, where he was a member of Gamma Iota Sigma (Insurance Honor Society), Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honor Society), and the Golden Key National Honor Society. He also holds a Master of Science in General Administration – Financial Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and has earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) professional designations.
