ALTA47 Townhomes In Locust Point Offer Unique Balance of Local Character and Contemporary Design

April 11, 2017

BALTIMORE — April 11, 2017 — War Horse Cities andThe Bozzuto Group today unveiled their newest joint venture — Alta 47 — in Baltimore’s historicLocust Point neighborhood. The 47-townhome community was celebrated during a groundbreaking ceremony withBaltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh.

Alta 47 meets the increased demand of homeowners who want to put down lasting roots in Locust Point. As the newest community in Locust Point, it adds options in an area with limited new home construction. The community is located on three blocks once used as a trucking terminal.

The community strikes a unique balance between the authentic character of Locust Point and the modern design and technology needs of today’s homeowners. The exterior architecture boasts a sleek marriage of brick and concrete, highlighted with expansive contemporary windows. Progressive smart home technology is woven into each home’s infrastructure.

The townhomes feature fresh, open living spaces and fourth floor terraces with views of the harbor and cityscape. Each home also offers three bedrooms and a garage. The first townhomes of Alta 47 will be available in August 2017.

Alta 47 is the third joint venture between War Horse Cities and Bozzuto. The $23 million project is the first investment by BHI Investors I, Bozzuto’s new fund that complements existing equity to support new homebuilding opportunities. Alta 47 is War Horse’s latest investment in the Locust Point community which includes Anthem House and Anthem House II apartment buildings, and philanthropic investments in Francis Scott Key Elementary / Middle School.

Bozzuto is the general contractor for the project. Architectural design was provided by Lessard Design and engineering was provided by Whitman, Requardt & Associates.
