GREENBELT, MD — June 20, 2017 — Bozzuto has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Washington Post for the second year. The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces list spotlights private, public, nonprofit and government agencies with the highest ratings from their employees in a survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics.
Bozzuto's company culture supports diversity, wellness and innovation for more than 2,400 employees. Bozzuto prides itself on hiring from within, and through "fast track" programs and leadership development, employees rise through the company’s ranks. New hires receive onboarding support in small groups with hands-on activities, pre and post-test evaluation and action planning to ensure their success. In the past 12 months, Bozzuto has enhanced its parental leave and tuition reimbursement programs to offer meaningful and valuable benefits to employees at all stages of their lives.
"This recognition means so much to me personally because it is voted on by our amazing and dedicated associates," said Toby Bozzuto, president and CEO, Bozzuto.
"As we grow, we attract those who share our values. We challenge ourselves each day to create extraordinary experiences and, in doing so, continue building our rich family culture that’s every bit as passionate, inspiring and vibrant as the communities we create and serve."
This year, Bozzuto's charitable action committee, Bozzuto Cares, launched CauseCast, an engagement platform that allows employees to search, share and create charitable opportunities they can personally champion in the communities where they live and work.
In 2016, Bozzuto created innovative ways to communicate with residents and employees and establish mutual trust and transparency with both groups. Bozzuto Voices is an employee feedback program that encourages employees of all levels to submit concerns, innovations, questions, or compliments about the company or their specific worksite. Bozzuto Listens allows residents to give feedback on their community through private messages or public comments on the property’s Yelp or Apartment Ratings page. Private messages are sent to the property, regional and executive leadership teams for immediate response and remedy.
Last year, Bozzuto was also named a Top Workplace by The Baltimore Sun.
