Primary Responsibilities:
As a Construction Intern, you will gain hands-on learning experience in a multifamily construction environment. This 10-week program (June 1st – August 7th, 2026) is designed to mirror the role of an entry-level construction field engineer, giving you first-hand exposure to the responsibilities and expectations of a full-time hire.
- Compile, present and track submittals and related correspondence with design consultants, subcontractors, owners and owner representatives
- Maintain a complete and organized set of contract documents at the site, including plans, specifications, communications, RFIs, submittals, addendums, ASIs and ASKs
- Estimate and price miscellaneous items related to the budget and pending change orders
- Prepare and submit RFIs to design consultants and distribute responses to the appropriate stakeholders
- Oversee punch-list items and contribute to project close-out activities
- Coordinate subcontractor activities both daily and through two-week look-ahead schedules
- Draft and distribute daily field reports, meeting notes and minutes
- Track and report on contract timing, key deliverables and schedules
- Maintain an accurate up-to-date set of as-built drawings on site
- Manage drawing and document coordination and reviews, ensuring accuracy, organization and timely distribution to all parties
What You Bring to Us:
- Enrollment as a graduate or undergraduate student in an engineering (civil, architectural, mechanical) or construction management program
- A strong interest in construction, real estate, architecture and/or development
- Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret a wide range of contract documents, including those related to property construction as well as general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
