Baltimore Business Journal: Tom Bozzuto Wins Lifetime Achievement Award From ULI
July 24, 2013
The Urban Land Institute's Baltimore District Council has given its lifetime achievement award to Thomas S. Bozzuto.
Bozzuto, CEO of Greenbelt-based Bozzuto Group, has overseen nearly 50,000 residential units worth nearly $7 billion during his more than 40 years in real estate.
The Greenbelt-based company recently opened its $72 million, 281-unit Union Wharf building in Fells Point; other recent projects include Spinnaker Bay in Harbor East and the Fitzgerald in Mount Vernon.
The company was also identified on July 18 as a partner in a group that has been named one of three finalists competing for the right to redevelop the 66.6-acre former Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.
Bozzuto will receive the award Oct. 3 at ULI's WaveMaker awards event. David Cordish, president of the Cordish Cos., received the award in 2012.
