Washington Business Journal: Bozzuto Group's MetroPointe at Wheaton Metro Named Mixed-Income Project of the Year
October 22, 2009
Multifamily Executive Magazine gave Bozzuto Development Company major kudos for its MetroPointe at Wheaton Metro project. The magazine called MetroPointe the mixed-income project of the year at it's 2009 Multifamily Executive and Developer Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
The 173-unit MetroPointe project is the result of a partnership between Bozzuto and the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission.
Fifty-three of the Class-A apartments are reserved for "income-restricted" people and the building includes a fitness center, a children's play area, a business center, a clubroom, courtyards and a community center.
The project replaced an aging Metro Kiss and Ride parking lot and drop off side and now provides elevator access to the Metro and structured parking.
MetroPointe delivered in September 2008 and includes studio, one, two and three-bedroom units.
