As President of Bozzuto Construction Company, Michael (Mike) Schlegel is responsible for the general contracting division at Bozzuto. From directing all in-house activities to leading the collaborative effort between estimating/budgeting, scheduling, project management, and supervision – Mike maintains a personal involvement with each construction project from start to finish. Since joining the company in 1999, Mike has overseen the construction of more than 20,000 multifamily units, over one million square feet of retail, as well as public and private infrastructure projects, with an aggregate contract value exceeding $3 billion.

Prior to joining Bozzuto Construction Company, Mike was a Vice President with Clark Builders Group, where he was integrally involved with the company’s startup and growth. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Housing Association of Non-Profit Developers, Montgomery Housing Partnership, the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, and the Virginia Tech Myers-Lawson School of Construction. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two children, and is an avid skier and mountain biker.

As Senior Vice President of Bozzuto Construction Company, Michael (Mike) Green is responsible for all aspects of preconstruction, project management, and field operations, with a primary focus on projects in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and other surrounding areas.

Mike has many years of experience in the construction industry and has managed or supervised the construction of thousands of multi-family housing units of all types. Prior to joining Bozzuto, he was a Senior Construction Manager for Toll Brothers, Inc. Mike majored in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

As Senior Vice President of Bozzuto Construction Company, David (Dave) Mandes is responsible for all aspects of client relations, project management, and field operations for Bozzuto Construction’s operations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey – and has grown this region to account for about one quarter of Bozzuto Construction’s annual volume.

Prior to joining Bozzuto in 1998, Dave headed his own company where he designed and built custom homes and for clients, in addition to developing single-family and multifamily residences. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Millersville University.

As Senior Vice President of Bozzuto Construction Company, Josh Peters manages all construction projects in Maryland, where he oversees preconstruction, project management, and field operation activities. Throughout his career, Josh has managed the development and construction of projects totaling over $1 billion, including more than 5,000 residential units and 500+ square feet.

Prior to joining Bozzuto, Josh was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for Star Development Group. He has also served as a Vice President for Daytner Construction Group and as a Project Manager for both Toll Brothers, Inc. and James G. Davis Construction Corporation. Josh acquired a dual Master Degree in Business Administration and Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

As Senior Vice President of Preconstruction for Bozzuto Construction Company, Mark Weisner is responsible for the overall leadership of the preconstruction and estimating departments, where he provides insight and recommendations on site planning, schedules, design and document reviews, budgets and bid pricing prior to the start of construction – keeping our clients financial and quality goals in mind.

Prior to joining Bozzuto, Mark worked for Clark Construction as a MEP Coordinator, Superintendent, and as a Project Manager; playing an integral role in all aspects of the construction process across a broad range of project types. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

As Vice President/Controller for Bozzuto Construction Company, David (Dave) Schorr is responsible for the overall leadership of the finance and accounting department. Prior to joining Bozzuto in 2006, Dave held a variety of leadership and management roles with the Poole and Kent Corporation, based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dave is a licensed CPA and holds a Master in Business Administration Degree from American University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. He also serves as the Board President for the Umar Boxing Program, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit group which mentors at-risk kids in Baltimore City. (www.nohooksbeforebooks.org).


Kelly Cantley

As Vice President of Business Development for Bozzuto Construction Company, Kelly Cantley leads and oversees the development of new business opportunities. Involved with every aspect of the acquisition, planning, and implementation of new work, Kelly serves as a liaison between preconstruction, operations, and clients to ensure clients’ needs are met from project conception to completion.

Prior to joining Bozzuto, Kelly was the Business Development Manager for Turner Construction, where her field experience ranged from residential high-rise to airport security and laboratory work. Before her civilian career, she served as an Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps. Kelly acquired her Master of Business Administration Degree from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
