July 01, 2016
GREENBELT, MD - June 22, 2016 – Bozzuto announced today the promotions of three Vice Presidents, Mike Henehan, Jeff Kayce, and Julie Thompson, to Senior Vice Presidents.
In the 12 years that Jeff Kayce has worked for Bozzuto Development, he has expanded joint venture opportunities within the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore region and managed the development process for multifamily and mixed-use projects, from acquisition and entitlements through construction and lease-up. Jeff has developed award-winning projects such as The Fitzgerald and Union Wharf in Baltimore, Maryland, and Cathedral Commons, a progressive, retail focused mixed-use community in Washington, D.C.
Jeff holds a degree in architecture from The University of Maryland at College Park and is active on the ULI Baltimore Advisory Council and in the UMAR Boxing program for Baltimore City's at-risk youth.
Mike Henehan has worked for Bozzuto Development for more than 10 years, most notably on the award-winning Monroe Street Market, which has transformed five city blocks in Washington, D.C. into a vibrant multifamily community with much needed retail and a strong connection to the arts. In addition, he manages Bozzuto’s senior housing initiative and recently helped close an active adult project located in Valley Forge, PA. Previously, Mike oversaw the division's complex mixed-use communities such as The Delancy at Shirlington Village in Virginia, MetroPointe at Wheaton Metro, and Mariner Bay at Annapolis Towne Centre.
He holds a business degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in real estate from The Johns Hopkins University. Mike is an active member of the Washington Real Estate Group, ULI, and the DCBIA.
“The depth of experience that Jeff and Mike continually bring to Bozzuto have contributed to some of our most successful projects,” said Steve Strazzella, president, Bozzuto Development Company. “They will continue to oversee and manage our projects in the Mid-Atlantic area from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia and I look forward to their contributions to our strategic growth in existing and new markets.”
Julie Thompson started with Bozzuto 18 years ago as a leasing consultant and has been promoted repeatedly since then to now become Senior Vice President of Operations for Bozzuto Management. In her new role, Julie will oversee a team of regionals in Maryland. In addition to Baltimore County, Howard County, and Anne Arundel County, her work will include efforts to create innovative new communities in Baltimore City, like Anthem House in Locust Point.
"Her experience with the company in managing and developing onsite teams and driving property performance has prepared her for the versatility of this role. She has a vast knowledge of the housing industry and passion for providing exceptional service to our customers," said Stephanie Williams, president, Bozzuto Management Company.
