Senior Client Executive – Wye River Insurance

Wye River is an affiliate of Bozzuto. Wye River Insurance is a specialized real estate and construction insurance advisory and brokerage with a focus on providing consultative insurance services to real estate owners, operators, developers, property managers, equity partners and lenders, and construction companies and subcontractors of all tiers.  

Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Client Executive provides strategic relationship management and consultative services to large and complex Casualty clients. As the leader of the client team, the Sr. Client Executive is responsible to marshal the Wye River and Bozzuto resources to provide coordinated service and placement to meet the client’s insurance and risk management needs. This role leverages an advanced skill set with P&C knowledge to design and consult with clients on insurance coverage and services, uses understanding of clients’ needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client and secure new business relationships.

As Senior Client Executive, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with sophisticated client decision-makers, understanding clients' business and advising on key risk and insurance issues.
  • Consult with and advise clients, in coordination with the client team, to identify risk exposures, client risk appetite, and risk management priorities for the purpose of designing appropriate insurance programs
  • Lead and oversea client service team consisting of client service representatives, wholesale brokers, risk control consultants and claims consultants, providing strategic advice to clients and team members.
  • Manages the client renewal process to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Collaborates with Wye River team members on, coverage, program structure and loss analysis.
  • Assists in resolving client, carrier and/or vendor issues.
  • Responsible for contract review and coverage recommendations.
  • Supports office cross selling efforts and other company growth initiatives.
  • Sales goal to be developed, new third-party client revenue to agency expectations of $500,000 – $750,000 over an 18-24 month period.
  • Manage and service a book of business of $1M in revenue over an 18-24 month period.
  • Supports team with proposals and RFP presentations to clients and prospects.
  • This position will work with our middle market to large and complex clients.
  • Large and complex accounts exhibit a combination of the following characteristics: sophisticated buyers, subcontractor default programs, controlled insurance programs, loss sensitive or alternative program structure, engage specialized Wye River resources requiring a higher degree of account service coordination, and/or revenue in excess of $1M.

What You Bring to Us:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years insurance experience in a commercial Property & Casualty brokerage environment with success in client service, account management and placement.
  • BA/BS Degree in insurance, finance, or related field.
  • Property & Casualty and other state licenses required.
  • Advanced designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM desired.
  • Industry expertise preferred (i.e., real estate, hospitality, construction).
  • Ability to focus on delivering exceptional client service while working in a fast paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrative ability to work in a consultative team environment, effectively lead a team and support and develop junior colleagues on the team.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of large deductible and/or complex casualty programs. Must be able to effectively communicate and explain loss sensitive and complex casualty programs to clients.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of property, casualty, and management liability insurance coverage.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service and team building skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) AND EPIC.
  • Critical thinking skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Time management and organizing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

 

Salary Range
$125,000$160,000 USD
