Located in Washington, DC, 1745 N Street is a new six-story condominium building and historic renovation of six existing row houses into 31 condominium units (Type III wood-frame renovation). This project included demolition of some existing exterior rear facades, as well as the existing interior. The interiors were rebuilt based on new unit layouts allowing some historic pieces to remain—inclusive of a grand wood staircase and exposed masonry walls. Repairs were also made to the exterior brick, metal cornice, and slate roofs, as well as the replacement of all historic windows in kind. Work also included a new below-grade parking garage to a podium with six stories of Type I-B metal composite condominium units between the existing building and the back alley.
