Bozzuto Construction is ENR’s 2023 MidAtlantic Contractor of the Year

We’re thrilled to announce that Bozzuto Construction was named Engineering News-Record 2023 MidAtlantic Contractor of the Year. The company’s commitment to excellence has led to a 56% increase in regional revenue from 2019 to 2022, landing them the 15th position on the overall ENR MidAtlantic ranking. This growth is due to President Mark Weisner’s leadership and the firm’s strategic expansion into Massachusetts, Delaware, and Florida, as well as diversification in the senior living and student housing markets.

Bozzuto Construction attributes its success to fostering a sense of family and prioritizing professional development and internal advancement within the company. In 2022, the company built on this commitment by introducing a series of leadership and training workshops, including the yearlong Bozzuto Construction Foundations program tailored for entry-level professionals. Since their initial launch, 97% of employees have engaged in these initiatives.

A number of opportunities for advancement lie within Bozzuto and Bozzuto Construction, as exemplified by Henry Jackson, a Senior Superintendent. Beginning in property management 20 years ago, Henry transitioned to a career in construction and has since grown into a senior-level employee. His affection for the supportive culture at Bozzuto has been his motivation to stay with the company for over two decades.

The company’s dedication to nurturing talent shines through stories like Madeleine Wolff, who rose from Project Engineer to Assistant Project Manager with support from her project teams and leadership investment.

This “Culture of Caring” extends to Bozzuto Construction’s commitment to charitable causes, empowering communities through initiatives such as The Baltimore Station, Suited For Change, and SOME (So Others Might Eat).

Looking ahead, the Bozzuto Construction team is prepared to creatively navigate market challenges. However, their focus remains on smart growth, broadening capabilities, and continuing to invest in its most important asset: the people. Excited about the possibilities ahead, Weisner is focused on the “opportunity to continue building on the strong foundation that we have.”
