Located just one half block from the Clarendon Metro station, vPoint consists of eight stories of apartment homes atop two stories housing the site’s existing occupants, The Church at Clarendon and the County’s largest child daycare center. The development will also preserve the church’s steeple – a landmark in Clarendon – and create 120 underground parking spaces. The community consists of 116 units in an 8-story building, made up of 46 market-rate units and 70 affordable units, of which 12 will be supportive housing for very low-income households. The project also includes the demolition of an existing church sanctuary and construction of a new church sanctuary. vPoint is designated as a Smart Growth Project by the Washington Smart Growth Alliance and is expected to achieve at least a LEED Silver certification. First Baptist Church of Clarendon 1210 N. Highland Street Clarendon Limited Partnership are the owners of this project.
