Finding a parking place on the crowded streets of Baltimore's midtown Mount Vernon neighborhood will get a bit easier on Monday, when a 1,245-space public parking garage opens adjacent to the University of Baltimore campus. The garage is the first component to open at The Fitzgerald at UB Midtown, a $76-million mixed-use apartment development by The Bozzuto Group of Greenbelt.

A new parking garage will open Monday at The Fitzgerald at UB Midtown in Baltimore as the first completed phase of the $76 million mixed-use apartment project, developer the Bozzuto Group said Wednesday.

Multifamily Executive Magazine gave Bozzuto Development Company major kudos for its MetroPointe at Wheaton Metro project. The magazine called MetroPointe the mixed-income project of the year at it's 2009 Multifamily Executive and Developer Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

The 173-unit MetroPointe project is the result of a partnership between Bozzuto and the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission.

Another piece of the Wyomissing Square development, the $49 million apartment complex 100 Park at Wyomissing Square, has fallen into place.
