June 2014

I am beyond proud to announce that our Union Wharf website has been selected as an Official Honoree in The 18th Annual Webby Awards, the leading international awards honoring excellence on the Internet.  Website honorees are selected for recognition based on excellence in the following criteria: content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity, and overall experience. Out of 12,000 entries from more 60 countries and all 50 U.S. states, the Official Honoree distinction is awarded to only the top 15% of all work entered.
It is an incredible achievement to be selected from among some of the best websites on the Internet, and it is a true testament to the talented team we have here at Bozzuto.  We are all invested in every facet of our communities, and that vision translates to a wonderful online experience, as well.  The Union Wharf website is truly setting the industry standard for web-based innovation and creativity.  Congratulations to all involved!

The Bozzuto Marketing Team launched a global marketing campaign program that provides the onsite teams with everything they need to successfully execute a fun seasonal marketing campaign at each property. Each month has a theme that is applied to prospect events, resident events, leasing incentives, giveaway ideas, and social media. Marketing provides the properties with a comprehensive guide on how to execute the components for each month. They streamlined the campaigns to include email templates and DIY décor templates so the events can be rolled out to a large group of properties each month in a quick and efficient manner.

The May Campaign was Derby/Triple Crown themed to play off the series of horse races in the month of May. This campaign included a Derby Days Open House, Resident Bourbon Tasting, Event Raffle and Trifecta Leasing Specials. Around 30 properties participated in the event and offered great feedback.

The June Campaign, Lemonade and Sunny Days, kicks off summer with a lemonade stand-themed open house to celebrate the good life with food, drinks and special leasing incentives. June continues with lemonade stand inspired treats, refreshments and events.

The month gets sweeter with the Change Challenge to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a foundation for childhood cancer. When Alex Scott was diagnosed with childhood cancer at the age of four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in the front yard to help raise money for the doctors to find a cure for other children. In 2004, when Alex passed away at only 8-years-old, her parents continued the work that Alex began. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is on a mission to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer, and to encourage and empower others to get involved and make a difference. Alex’s Lemonade Stand is the living embodiment of Alex’s spirit of determination and hope. An empty container will be placed at the front desk of each property to promote the challenge to residents to help Bozzuto collect coins for Alex’s Lemonade Stand.

Cadence at Crown is a newly constructed luxury apartment community located in Gaithersburg, MD. The property is adjacent to the shopping, dining and nightlife of Downtown Crown.

When preparing Hard Hat Tours for prospective residents, Bozzuto took the experience to the next level. Bozzuto attached a GoPro camera to a Bozzuto Hard Hat to allow visitors to capture the entire experience of the tour from their point of view. The GoPro app allowed visitors to stream their tour in real-time to partners or roommates who weren’t able to attend. At the end of the tour, guests were emailed a copy of the video they recorded. When the time comes for prospective residents to make a buying decision, they are able to watch the HD video from their tour at Cadence, rather than relying on static images from a smartphone or camera. The GoPro tour allows prospects to make an informed decision during a time when there are many options to choose from.
