GREENBELT, MD — May 1, 2017 — Bozzuto broke ground today on Emblem at Barracks Row, a 20-unit for-sale condominium community, which will include 3,000 square feet of ground-level retail. EagleBank provided the acquisition and development financing. Bozzuto’s homebuilding equity platform, BHI Investors I, LLC, provided the equity. The condo homes will be available for purchase in 2018.
The condominiums are located between the Navy Yard and the Barracks Row Main Street, Washington, DC’s oldest commercial corridor, and walkable to three Metro stations. The vibrant corner location provides exceptional access to numerous shops, restaurants, and neighborhood staples such as, Eastern Market, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, and the new, soon-to-be-open Trader Joe’s.
The new development will transition seamlessly into the historic storefront facades of the shops and restaurants along 8th Street SE that capture the quintessential character of the neighborhood.
At Emblem at Barracks Row, modern minimalist form meets Scandinavian function with asymmetric lines, geometric textures and light-filled interiors. European accents and contrasting matte textures complement this highly stylized design. Each residence is distinctive with its own unique layout and character.
