Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Precautions

The care and concern for our Bozzuto family employees, residents, clients and partners is our highest priority. With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to evolve, the CDC continues to cite social distancing as the best way to prevent the spread of coronavirus. With this in mind, we have implemented the following operational changes across our divisions, effective as of March 18 and continuing until further notice.

Bozzuto Management Company

Bozzuto executives continue to closely monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our employees, residents, vendors, guests and all aspects of the communities we serve. We are following guidance from the CDC on cleaning and disinfecting and have implemented temporary policies for resident events, hospitality and social distancing in an effort to prevent additional risk.

Welcome Home Commitment

Bozzuto Management Company is proud to announce that we have implemented our Welcome Home commitment across our communities. From ensuring your apartment has been cleaned, inspected and sealed to offering you a 30-day guarantee, our goal is for you to love everything about your new home. Read more about our commitment here.

Amenity and Common Spaces

We have begun to open amenity and common areas within our communities per local jurisdiction guidelines. Please contact the manager at your community for specific information about your community’s amenities and common areas.

Leasing Office Hours

We have resumed regular business hours at most of our communities. Please contact your management team for office hours at your community. We continue to encourage residents to contact the property management teams via phone, email or the resident portal. We are asking all residents, when possible, to sign up for the Bozzuto resident portal for ease of communication and online rental payments.

Virtual Leasing

We have resumed in-person tours at our communities. Of course, SPIN tours and virtual tours will continue to be an option. Please contact the management team to inquire about touring options that best fit your needs.

If you are interested in leasing at one of our communities, you may do so by utilizing the property website’s online tour option; you will then be contacted by a leasing team member to set up a virtual tour option that works best for you.

Maintenance Services

We have resumed regular maintenance operations at most of our communities. Maintenance requests will be completed for essential services, as well as routine services.

Customer service remains a core focus even during these difficult times. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we implement protocols to continue providing service while also maintaining your well-being and that of our employees.

Please continue to stay tuned to the CDC’s website for regular updates. Our leadership team is monitoring the situation and will continue to provide ongoing guidance and support. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding during these challenging times.

Bozzuto Construction Company

Bozzuto Construction Company’s job sites remain open to date; however, we are following the preventive care recommendations provided by the CDC, OSHA and other health organizations regarding social distancing, keeping gatherings to 10 people or less, limiting meetings and keeping only essential team members on our project sites. Overall worker safety continues to be our highest priority.

We are constantly communicating amongst company leadership to understand the specific needs of our teams so we can quickly react to provide them with the appropriate support. The following temporary policies have been enacted to prevent the spread of coronavirus and ensure the safety of all on-site employees.

  • We are encouraging employees who are sick, feeling sick, caring for someone who is sick or has been in contact with someone who is sick, to stay home and follow CDC recommendations until they have fully recovered. We have also provided employees with clear guidelines on how to gain approval for return to work.
  • We are providing hand-washing stations and working with our sanitary facility vendors to provide more routine disinfecting as well as our safety department to provide the necessary equipment for the sites including additional site signage on safety practices.
  • We are working with our teams to develop contingency plans around possible exposures, including communication plans for our owners, consultants, subcontractors and team members who have been actively working at our sites.
  • In anticipation of supply chain issues, we are reaching out to our subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to lessen the impact.
  • We are consulting with our general contracting peers, both locally and nationally, to share best practices and help each other navigate through these extraordinary times.

Because of the nature of our jobs as general contractors, we are routinely exposed to an element of risk. Although COVID-19 presents a new and unfamiliar risk, our in-house safety department is responding with the same diligence and care. Bozzuto Construction Company is committed to protecting the health and well-being of everyone at our sites so they can return safely to their homes and families each day.
