Thomas S. Bozzuto
Chairman and CEO The Bozzuto GroupDuring Tom’s more than forty-year career, he has overseen and been responsible for the creation of nearly 50,000 residential units with a conservatively estimated value of nearly $7 billon. In 1988, Tom established The Bozzuto Group of companies with John Slidell, Rick Mostyn and the late Bernie Lubcher. Today, the companies provide a broad range of real estate services, including development, management, homebuilding, acquisitions and construction. In his role as CEO, Tom directs the development, construction and management of income-producing and for-sale housing in metropolitan areas located throughout the East Coast. Prior to the formation of The Bozzuto Group, Tom spent thirteen years as Mid-Atlantic Regional Partner at Oxford Development Corporation. He also worked for the James W. Rouse Mortgage Company and, prior to that, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Renewal. A graduate of Hobart College, Tom has a master's degree in Metropolitan Studies from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. A Congressional Appointee to the Millennial Housing Commission, he has served several terms as a Gubernatorial Appointee to the Maryland Housing Commission and is the current Chairman of the Board of the National Multi Housing Council. In 2008, Tom was honored as recipient of ULI Washington's annual Lifetime Achievement Award, in 2010 was recognized as Delta Associates' Private Sector TrendSetter of the Year, in 2011 was inducted into the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame, and in 2012 was recognized as one of The Daily Record's Most Influential Marylanders.

Richard L. Mostyn
Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer The Bozzuto GroupRick Mostyn is founder, co-owner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The Bozzuto Group. He is responsible for directing the company’s apartment development, acquisition, homebuilding, property management, and construction activities. Rick began his tenure at The Bozzuto Group as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for all equity and debt activity. Prior to the formation of The Bozzuto Group in 1988, Rick spent ten years as a vice president and controller for Oxford Development Corporation. Rick is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and has a master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Board Member of Enterprise Homes, a subsidiary of The Enterprise Foundation, which is active in the development of affordable housing.

John B. Slidell
Vice Chairman and President Bozzuto Land CompanyA co-founder and principal of The Bozzuto Group, John is also currently president of Bozzuto Land Company, where he directs the acquisition and development of land for both the company’s homebuilding and apartment operations and third-party sales. He has been responsible for the development of more than 6,000 apartment units and led the growth of the company's homebuilding operation to an average volume of 250 starts, with increasing emphasis on mixed-use properties with close in urban and suburban in-fill locations. Prior to the formation of Bozzuto in 1988, John spent six years as a vice president and operating partner for Oxford Development Company, where he was involved with the development of more than 7,100 apartment units in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has also worked as a partner with Zuchelli Hunter & Associates, a real estate consulting firm specializing in mixed-use public/private partnership development, and for Mitchell Energy and Development Company, the developer of The Woodlands community in Houston, Texas. A graduate of Princeton University, John has a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina. He is currently a Council Counselor for the Urban Land Institute's four Residential Councils, immediate past Chair of ULI's Residential Neighborhood Development Council, and current Chairman of ULI’s Washington District Council. He is also a Life Director of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Montgomery Housing Partnership. In addition to industry leadership, Mr. Slidell has been active in many community organizations including serving as Board Chair of the Severn School and The Bethesda Cultural Alliance.

Julie A. Smith
President Bozzuto Management CompanyAs president of Bozzuto Management Company, Julie oversees a portfolio that includes approximately 30,000 units in more than 100 apartment communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions. She also plays a consulting role in the development of new communities both for Bozzuto and third-party owners, providing marketing and management guidance in the planning stages of new projects. Under Julie’s leadership, the company has grown from an organization with 15 employees to one of more than 800, and has twice been named Property Management Firm of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Oswego. She is Chair of the National Multi Housing Council’s Property Management Committee, a member of the Board of Directors for Victory Housing, a nonprofit developer and operator of affordable housing for seniors and working families, and an adjunct professor in the University of Maryland’s Master’s of Real Estate Development Program.

Thomas A. Baum
President Bozzuto Homes, Inc.As president of Bozzuto Homes, Tom is responsible for the development of a range of for-sale products, including condominiums, town homes and single-family homes. Prior to joining Bozzuto, Tom held the position of senior vice president with Summit Properties, Inc., where he was responsible for growing their mid-Atlantic portfolio into the largest segment of the company, from 11% of the portfolio in 1996 into 23% of the portfolio in 2000. A registered architect, Tom earned an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in real estate development from Columbia University. He also attended the National Academy of Architecture in Versailles, France.

Mike Schlegel
President Bozzuto Construction CompanyAs President of Bozzuto Construction Company, Mike is responsible for Bozzuto’s general contracting division. He maintains a personal involvement with each project from start to finish. Additionally, he directs all in-house activities, providing leadership and ensuring cooperation and collaboration between estimating/budgeting, scheduling, project management and supervision. Mike has managed the construction of more than 10,000 housing units as well as projects with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion dollars. Prior to joining Bozzuto Construction Company, Mike was a vice president with Clark Realty Builders where he was integrally involved with the startup and growth of the company. Mike holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Building Construction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Toby S. Bozzuto
President The Bozzuto GroupAs President of The Bozzuto Group, Toby Bozzuto is responsible for the overall day-to-day direction of the company and its six divisions. Previously, Toby was President of Bozzuto Development Company, where he oversaw development activities for the company's apartment development operations. Bozzuto has more than 5,000 rental units in the pipeline or under construction throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions for projects that range from urban high-rise properties to affordable housing. Toby joined Bozzuto Development Company in 2001 and in 2007 was named a Partner of The Bozzuto Group of companies. He previously worked with J.P. Morgan Chase’s Real Estate Debt Group, and was also a financial analyst with Columbia National Real Estate Finance. In 2010, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley appointed Toby to a seat on the Maryland Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Buildings & Grounds Committee for Maryland Institute College of Art, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Baltimore District Council. A member of the YPO (Young Presidents' Organization), a group that aims to develop better leaders through education and idea exchange, Toby also serves as a regular guest lecturer for the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business real estate program, and Georgetown University. He has been named one of Baltimore Business Journal's "40 Under 40," The Daily Record's "Successful by 40," and Real Estate Bisnow's "35 Under 35." Toby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from New York University.

Steve Strazzella
President Bozzuto Development CompanyAs President of Bozzuto Development Company, Steve Strazzella oversees the day-to-day development activities for the company’s apartment development operations. The company has more than 5,000 rental units in the pipeline or under construction throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions for projects that range from urban high-rise properties to affordable housing. Steve has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1989, having managed more than $900 million in real estate construction and development projects for some of the largest firms in the country. His experience at Bozzuto is focused on overseeing the development and execution of large mixed-use projects such as the redevelopment of Catholic University of America’s South Campus, Cathedral Commons in Cleveland Park, Mariner Bay at Annapolis Towne Centre, Monroe Place at Woodland Park Crossing, The Delancey at Shirlington Village, and Spinnaker Bay Apartments. Prior to Bozzuto, Steve held real estate and construction positions with the Clark Companies and with Roy F. Weston, Inc. Steve is an active member of the Washington Real Estate Group, the Urban Land Institute, and the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association, and is a board member of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association. He is a member of the board of directors and chair of the finance committee at Providence Hospital in northeast Washington DC and holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Catholic University of America. A Washington, D.C. native, Steve currently resides in the District with his wife and three children.

Daniel C. Murphy
Chief Financial Officer The Bozzuto GroupIn his role as chief financial officer, Dan Murphy is responsible for directing the finance and accounting operations for all six Bozzuto companies, in addition to personally managing all debt and equity relationships. Dan joined The Bozzuto Group in 2003 as senior vice president and chief accounting officer and in 2006 was named operating partner. He was previously a partner at both Arthur Andersen LLP and Ernst & Young LLP. A graduate of James Madison University, Dan has a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and is also a certified public accountant. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN).

Jamie S. Gorski
Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing The Bozzuto GroupJamie Gorski is senior vice president, corporate marketing for The Bozzuto Group. In her role, she provides strategic marketing direction for the entire company, overseeing all marketing and public relations efforts for each of Bozzuto’s six integrated companies – Acquisitions, Construction, Development, Homebuilding, Land Development and Property Management. Jamie brings more than 25 years of multifamily marketing experience to Bozzuto, including five years as chief marketing officer for Kettler. Prior to Kettler, she served as vice president of marketing for Archstone-Smith and for Charles E. Smith Residential. Jamie’s expertise includes strategic brand development, standards implementation, market analysis and online marketing. She has extensive experience overseeing major digital marketing campaigns and is an expert in advancing both online and offline marketing initiatives. Jamie has won numerous marketing awards, including 30 Pillars of the Industry Awards from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). She serves as the current chair of the ULI Washington Communications Committee and in 2012 was named as one of the most influential multifamily executives to watch by Multi-Housing News. Jamie received a B.S. in mathematics from Ohio State University, where she was captain of the swim team, a Big Ten Champion and an NCAA National finalist. She and her family reside in Annapolis, Maryland.
